Me

As well as my passion for history, I enjoy cycling in the summer months especially using the Peak trails around Carsington, Tissington and Ashbourne.

I'm a fair weather cyclist and hate the cold, so most weekends I visit Darwin’s spa, sauna and steam room.  On rainy days then my collection of almost every British History DVD ever produced are invaluable to me, as are epic or period dramas, Spaghetti Westerns or life with the Tudors. Then the evenings bring socialising and meeting friends, hopefully followed by my love for dancing into the early hours

In between work and play, my priorities are family, especially my children, Charles and Spencer. Both are now young adults however being a great mother to them now  is just as important to me as it’s always been and I’m very proud of them both.

Spencer

Spencer, the eldest, is  a trained chef and is now trying a different career path while training for various events including a fund raising cycle trip across Madagascar. ]Spencer is about to launch his new company 'YOLO' which focuses on a long term gaol to establish a new type of healthy eating and lifestyle outlet that's not 'boring' Watch this space for exciting upcoming progress.....

Charles, a year younger, has a degree in graphic design and is currently enjoying some time out living in Australia until he decides to further his career using his skills and qualifications.

Charles

I don’t get to visit my beautiful niece Tanya as often as I wish, or her mum the wizard in the kitchen  Prya Pandit and relish the time spent with the comedian of the family my cousin – Mark, but time spent with all my family is precious to me and number one in my busy life
